Why We Built This Site
Florida gives the public broad access to court records under Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, and Article I, Section 24 of the Florida Constitution. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you need. In Polk County, felony, civil, family, juvenile, and probate cases are all filed in the Circuit Court and maintained by the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. County Court handles misdemeanors, traffic violations, small claims, and landlord-tenant disputes at the same Bartow courthouse. The Polk County Sheriff manages the jail roster and active warrant search. Add the Florida Department of Corrections and state vital records offices, and the picture gets crowded fast. This site pulls together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. For Polk County court records, that means the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller at the courthouse in Bartow, Florida. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
